Editorial Statement:

The Helpringham Village website is an ongoing project which aims to involve the community in the village's representation on the world wide web, act as a resource for the inhabitants of the village and related surounding areas & provide a vehicle for discussion on village issues with the aim of greater democracy. As a village resource it belongs to the people of the village and is for the people of the village. It will not be a platform for one particular group. As administrator, my responsibility is to build, maintain and edit the content suitably for internet presentation. The views expressed on these pages belong to the persons expressing them and do not necessarily represent the views of the administration. Offensive content will not be allowed and will be removed as soon as discovered. Income generated from this site goes towards its maintenance and running costs. It is not funded by governmental organisations and therefore remains politically independent.

This is a website for all residents, young and old. All suggestions for content are welcome.

Planned Work:

1. Forum rebuild and accessible from this main page : complete, now in resident's section.
  1a: Private access to forums based on postcode: in planning, projected completion early August. Now complete - 10/8/07
2. Interested groups access to upload their own newsletter information
3. Local history pages - 'In living memory' & Historical past
4. User polling on village issues: due for resident's area soon.
5. Photographs of St Andrews artefacts and elements: complete.
